Ronnie O’Sullivan Burns through Second Round of Welsh Open Snooker

Stephen Lee arrested for snooker cheating
Yesterday snooker star Stephen Lee was arrested on the suspicion of cheating. Lee’s arrest was part of a two year investigation into match-fixing. Lee is ranked 25th in the world in snooker after falling from 4th place. (12/02)
Higgins almost at top snooker ranking
It looks as though John Higgins is going to claim the number 1 seat in the world after his recent win at the totesport Welsh Open. Higgins beat Ali Carter 9-4 in the final to win his first ranking title of the season, which was his twenty-first of his career. (09/02)

A new snooker center is set open soon in Lancaster and Six Times World Snooker Champion Steve Davis is set to appear at the opening. The new club, Rack’Em, will be opening on the 27th of February and Davis will be giving people a chance to challenge him in one frame. (04/02)
John Higgins Wins Welsh Open Snooker Title
Allister Carter just barely missed out on the chance to be the winner of the Welsh Open Snooker tournament when he was beat by World champion John Higgins 9-4 this past Sunday. Carter was the defending champion but Higgins was able to take the title trophy in the tournament. (02/02)
International Snooker Championship to be hosted by Jeddah
The first International Snooker Championship will be held on March 1st through the 7th and will be hosted by Jeddah. Over fifteen countries are expected to participate in the event as it takes place at the Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Stadium. (26/01)
