2008 Telegraph and Argus Snooker Classic Set for FebruaryAccording to the Telegraph and Argus website a date has been set for their 2008 Telegraph & Argus Snooker Classic. It will take place on February 23rd at the Richard Dunn Sports Centre and John Parrott and Mark Williams will be competing against one another. According to the site, tickets are selling fast and the event has been widely publicized.
Normally during the event a novice will get to play with professional. This year two people will get to play the professionals. Williams and Parrott have both agreed to play a frame a piece against a local. A tournament will be held to determine which two people will get to play. The Bradford & District Billiards & Snooker Association will hold a one day tournament on Sunday January 27th with free entry to determine the winners.
Only players over eighteen will be allowed to participate in the tournament and players must register the day of the event. The final two will be able to play Williams and Parrott and the overall winner will be able to choose which professional they would like to play. The two winners will also be able to enter the players bar for drinks after the big tournament.
