Preston and District Snooker League Mourn Passing of Colin BamberMembers of the Preston and District Snooker League committee are mourning the sudden passing of snooker player Colin Bamber. Colin died suddenly last week at the Fulwood Club during his Over-50s match, one he was all too familiar with as he won it two years ago. (25/11)
Premier League Snooker First Phase Ends November 27th
Players are getting ready for the end of the first phase of the 2008 Party Poker Premier League Snooker series. The last matches will take place on November 27th at Glades Arena. The final three matches of the round robin section will be taking place. (18/11)
Ryan Day Knocked Out of Bahrain Championship
Ryan Day was expected to do very well in the top sixteen of the Bahrain Championship. Instead he was knocked out by fellow player Matthew Stevens during Tuesday night’s match up. Stevens a former Masters and UK champion beat Day with a 5-4 victory. (13/11)

Ryan Day and Matthew Stevens both won matches yesterday that placed them in the top sixteen in the Bahrain Championship taking place in Manama. Both men will face each other as they work their way to the title. (11/11)
Snooker Players Tested For Drugs Out of Season
It was recently confirmed by UK Sport that Snooker players have been tested for drugs during the off season. This is the first time snooker players have been tested when they are not in a snooker season. UK Sport conducted five tests between the months of July and September of 2008. (04/11)
