27th Northwest Snooker Title Won by Suresh Chauhan
This past weekend Suresh Chauhan won his twenty seventh Northwest Snooker title. The event took place at the Lautoka Club on Sunday and Chauhan was in true form. New to the tournament Snooker scene, Sireli Kaci also had a good day and proved his skills at the game of snooker.

Chauhan and Kaci would face off in the final and it would be Kaci’s third ever competitive event. Kaci was up first with one win and then Chauhan tied the match up and then went up 2-1 before claiming the final round and the win 3-1.

Kaci commented on the tournament: “This is the first time I’ve played here at the Lautoka Club and I’ve enjoyed it. It was Chauhan who encouraged me to take part in the competition when I met him in Sigatoka last week and I just paid my registration fees on Friday before I played my first game on Saturday.”

Chauhan commented that it was the best final he had ever played at the venue. “It was a great game and Kaci played well. He gave me some nervous moments but I think I held my cool and managed to go past him,” said Chauhan.
