Recently Ex world champion Snooker player Shaun Murphy played in a exhibition match at the Flexseys Club in Acrefair. The Gallery Snooker star brought in a crowd of over 200 people to watch the match. Shaun Murphy took on the local crowd and didn't lose a single frame in what the club manager dubbed a "fantastic night".

This was the third year that such an exhibitions was held at the Flexseys Club and with it's continuing success it certainly wont be the last as the club manager said "that they we'll definitely be looking to bring in another big game next year".

In the past three years there have been other star players featured at the club in exhibitions matches against local players, starting with Steve Davis and last year Jimmy White had his chance to show off his skill in the game.

But Shaun Murphy showed off his superior skill in doing what both White and Davis couldn't do and remained unbeaten in all of his frames. Murphy played against Nick Rogers, Martin Evans, Alan Thelwell, James Brooks, Colin Daniels and Ross Tomlinson but all didn't stand a chance against this ex world champion.
