India sees good times and bad times at Championships
Pankaj Advani the former World Champion played well in his match against Philip Williams in the World Snooker Championships to move forward in the competition. However other players of India were not so lucky.

Advani won the mach over Williams 4-3 to move into the knock out stage of the competition on the third day of play. Though Advani did very well it was veteran snooker player Geet Sethi who lost. Yasin Merchant a former Asian Champion won his third victory in the league by beating Ahmed Aly 4-2.

Manan Chandra of India is a former Asian Indoor silver medalist and he earned his second win by taking down Austrian Alexander Gauss 4-0. Indian K Venkatesham beat the former national champion Arvind Savur 2-3 in the Masters Section.

The biggest win of the day came from Clive Thomson who managed to knock out eight time world billiards champion Geet Sethi. The score was 3-2 and Sethi was able to level the score at two frames but then gave the win up in the decider 6-89 when his opponent scored a 69 break.
