International Snooker Championship to be hosted by Jeddah
The first International Snooker Championship will be held on March 1st through the 7th and will be hosted by Jeddah. Over fifteen countries are expected to participate in the event as it takes place at the Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Stadium. Prince Khaled Al-Faisal, Emir of Makkah Region, will support the event. Prince Khaled Bin Mansour Al-Jlewi the Head of the Higher Organizing Committee for the championship commented: “This championship will be held for the first time in the Kingdom, and the Middle East where top players in the world will be seen in action.”
Mansour Al-Jlewi went on to say that the organizing committee had signed an agreement with Euro Sport international channel which will see the event broadcast live on more than seventy five channels.
“We have to support this championship and promote this game by establishing sport clubs, holding Saudi championship, having coaches to start training young Saudis and getting the media support,” said Salha Asiri, exclusive promoter of the snooker championship.
