Jimmy White Arrested on Suspicion Charges
Star snooker player Jimmy White has been arrested on suspicion charges. White has been supposedly been accused of trying to get his friend to take the heat for his speeding. White tried to get his friend to take the penalty points that he received for speeding. According to the Sunday Mirror, White is on the verge of a driving ban. This is most likely the reason that he would ask his friend to take the hit for him. Allegedly White’s car was snapped speeding in Prestatyn which lead to a ticket being sent in the mail.
It is believed that White passed the penalty points and fine to a friend who lives in Jersey. British driving endorsements do not count in Jersey. Officers are now investigating to see if White did indeed pass the points and fine along.
Sources from the police stated: “A car belonging to Jimmy White was caught on camera speeding and he was sent a ticket, but when the fine was paid a sixty year old man claimed that he had been driving. As a result of investigation, a warrant was issued for their arrest and both were questioned.”
Both men were questioned and have been bailed out until next month. Both were arrested on August 4th for suspicion of conspiracy to pervert the course of justice.
