Maltese Snooker Players Get Ready for 2009 European Team Snooker Championships
The 2009 European Team Snooker Championships and the Under 19s Championships are set to take place beginning March 18th through the 26th. The Championships will take place in Russia and twenty teams from fifteen different European countries will be participating in the men’s category. Malta is sending twelve players to represent their country in the Championships.

Two teams will participate in the Men’s category, one will play in the Masters (over 40) category and four players will compete in the Under 19 individual championship. Teams from Malta have seen great success in the Championships and have won twice.

Team A of Malta is represented by Alex Borg, Simon Zammit and Duncan Bezzina. Team B for Malta is represented by Mario Brincat, Clayton Castaldi and Duncan Pisani. Tony Mifsud and Peter Tonna will compete in the Masters competition while Thurston Grixti, Aaron Busuttil, Matthias Mallia and Shaun Sultana will compete in the Under 19 championships.
