Mohammad Asif wins 34th National Snooker Championship Title
The 34th National Snooker Championships took place this past weekend and Mohammad Asif defeated Mohammad Sajjad 6-2 to take the championship title. Sajjad was struggling during the match and Asif was on his top game.

Sajjad won the third frame and fifth frame of the match up but was unable to compete with Asif breaks. Asif has competed in seven national championships and outplayed Sajjad during the match up that lasted over three hours.

Asif won Rs 40,000 for finishing in first as well as a trophy. Karachi Gymkhana Javed Mir and Muhammad Ali Aziz had offered an additional Rs 50,000 for the winner so Asif won that as well. Sajjad won Rs 30,000 plus Rs 25,000 which was given by Fawad Malik. Sajjad won the extra money for having the largest break during the competition, which was 120.

Asif commented to reporters after the championships: “I have trained hard and was confident of capturing the crown.”
