Mohammad Yousuf Earns Wild Card Entry into Event
Snooker player Mohammad Yousuf has something to be happy about as he has been given the wild card entry into the NBP Ranking Snooker Championship for 2009. The Championship will take place at the Karachi Club and the Pakistan Billiards & Snooker Association approved the wild card entry for Yousuf.

Yousuf is a veteran snooker player having won the national snooker title several times. He was denied a wild card entry earlier this year by the PBSA and this was only the second time the snooker player was denied the entry.

Yousuf was banned back in 1999 for disciplinary reasons and this year the President of the PBSA stated that Yousuf did not submit a written request to be considered a wild card in the National Championship. This go round however Yousuf did submit a request in writing and was granted the wild card position.

Yousuf will be able to compete in the event which will have a prize pool of Rs 115,000 with the winner taking home Rs 40,000 and the runner up receiving Rs 30,000.
