The first event National 6-Red Snooker Championship 2010 in full swing as it has started in Bangalore. Top snooker players Pankaj Advani and Alok Kumar are competing for top honors during the event. the tournament series will last nine days and qualifying rounds are currently underway.

The event is taking place at the newly renovated Karnataka State Billiards Association Hall. Sixteen players earned a direct entry to the tournament which included Advani, Saurav Kothari and Kamal Chawla. 191 snooker players will be competing in the knockout qualification rounds for the 64 available spots.

After the qualification rounds, the sixty four players will be divided into sixteen groups. A seeded player will be featured in each group. The direct entries were passed out according to the previous National Snooker performance. The seeded players include Srinivasa Murthy, IH Manudev, Manan Chandra, Dhruv Sitwala and Davendra Joshi.
