Neil Robertson wins Masters Competition
Neil Robertson has won his first Masters Championship title after besting Shaun Murphy in the finals of the competition with a score of 10-6. Robertson played well in the competition and just added another win to his long list of wins. The snooker pro earned £150,000 for his efforts.

Robertson was very happy about the win and commented on his performance after the championship concluded by stating: “You have to have an awful lot of luck to win every final you are in. the run can’t go on forever. You’ve got to enjoy these moments. I’m going to put my young son Alexander to bed and enjoy a few drinks.”

Robertson and Murphy have great respect for each other and both were honored to have competed against the other in the final. When the match began, both showed they were tense. Robertson earned the first frame and then both were going back and forth and both managed to earn century breaks.

Both players would split the first six frames before Robertson would earn the lead and never look back. Murphy was a contender in the event and had a lot of motivation but just could not come up with the win.

If Murphy had won the event he would have earned a Triple Crown in the sport of snooker. He would have held a World, a Masters and UK championship title. But it was not meant to be and Murphy would end up taking home £75,000.
