O’Sullivan experimenting with a new cue
Preparing to defend his Master title, Ronnie O’Sullivan is testing out a new odd looking cue. The new cue is purple and was given to Ronnie from one of his sponsors. Ronnie has been using the new cue as he gets ready to compete in the Masters this weekend.

O’Sullivan commented that last year he used a new cue for the Masters after only having it for about two hours. He managed to win the tournament but he did not like the cue. O’Sullivan went on to comment that players should not be ‘relying on equipment to dictate how you play’ or you become attached to it and it then becomes a weakness.

O’Sullivan is testing out the new cue because he believes that it is a way for him to help revitalize the sport of snooker. He also thinks that Barry Hearn the new chairman of the World Professional Billiards and Snooker Association would promote the new cue as it is an unconventional piece of equipment.

O’Sullivan also stated that he is willing to help Hearn bring the sport back to the forefront as long as his game is not compromised. "It will give an opportunity to be a bit more flexible and give room for people to work,” O’Sullivan said."Sometimes you can make something dull into something good with a bit of flair. You can be more passionate about what you do.”
