Pakistan Invited to South Asian Snooker TournamentThe Dhaka Club in Bangladesh is hosting the South Asian Snooker Tournament which will begin on July 28th and continue until August 4th. The Pakistan Billiards and Snooker Association recently announced that Pakistan is one of the countries invited to compete in the event.
The PBSA Chief Alamgir Anwar Shaikh commented that Mohammad Sajjad and Asjad Iqbal will be representing Pakistan in the event. Sajjad withdrew from a Thailand even that was a ranking tournament to participate in the Dhaka event.
The tournament will be offering $3,400 in prize money and just under half will go to the winner. The runner up will earn $800 while third will earn $400 and fourth will take home $200. The player who gets the higher break will earn $500.
Other countries will be featured in the tournament. those countries are: India, Afghanistan, Maldives, Nepal, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. The tournament will have a best of seven frames in league and the prequarter finals while the quarter and semi-finals will have nine frames. And the final will have eleven frames.
