Pakistan will not host Asian U-21 Snooker Championship
It was recently announced that Pakistan will not be hosting the Asian U-21 Snooker Championship due to security concerns. The event was scheduled for April of next year but the event will now be held in the Indian city of Indore.

A spokesman for the Pakistan Billiards and Snooker Association commented on Thursday: “We’ve withdrawn to play host to the event which we were supposed to stage in the first half of 2010 due to prevailing security fears. The decision was taken at the annual general meeting of the world governing body that met on the sidelines of the World Snooker Championship in the Indian City of Hyderabad on November 24th.”

Pakistan also jumped from tenth place in the world rankings to seventh, which was quite a leap. Below is a list of the world rankings for the top ten countries.

1: Thailand

2: China

3: Republic of Ireland

4: England

5: Wales

6: India

7: Pakistan

8: UAE

9: Belgium

10: Scotland.
