Premier League Snooker First Phase Ends November 27th
Players are getting ready for the end of the first phase of the 2008 Party Poker Premier League Snooker series. The last matches will take place on November 27th at Glades Arena. The final three matches of the round robin section will be taking place.

Players will be competing for the top four places to earn a place in the playoffs where they can win large cash prizes. The playoffs will take place on December 6th and 7th. Mark Selby and Joe Perry will be one of the three matchups taking place.

Seven time World Champion Stephen Hendry will face Ding Junhui of Chine in another match while Steve Davis and John Higgins will face off. This could be the last time Davis competes in the premier league as he has been involved in the competition for twenty three years.

All of the matches will be played over six frames and two points are awarded for a win and one for a draw. The top four will then move on to the play offs in Norfolk at Potters. £1,000 will be awarded for each frame won during the round robin section. During the playoffs, players can win £50,000 for winning, £25,000 for runner up and £12,500 for semifinalists.
