Record Number to Participate in 2010 Invitational U-17 snooker open
Twenty participants from ten European Countries are going to be competing in the 2010 Invitational U-17 Snooker Open. The Open is set to take place on January 3rd through the 10th at the Apple Snooker Club in Bugibba and the Jesmond Sporting Club in Hamrun. This is a record number for the event and much anticipation is surrounding the tournament.

Four players will be attending from Sweden as well as England while Scotland, Ireland, Malta and Belgium will be represented by two players. Austria, France, Israel and North Ireland will be represented by one player each.

Michael Leslie, Oliver Brown and Sam Harvey all top European U-17 players will be participating in the event which is being organized by Pro Am Snooker. Four groups will be created from a player draw and five players will represent each group. The first two in each group will be qualifying for the quarter finals.

The tournament will have an increased prize pool for this year with e300 up for grabs. E200 will go to the winner and e100 will go to the second runner up. A friendly international match will take place between Malta and Sweden during the tournament as well.
