Ronnie "The Rocket” O’Sullivan Back to Number One
Ronnie "The Rocket” O’Sullivan has just been crowned world number one but freely admits he only has a little time left in the sport. A 10-2 win in the Maplin UK Championship pushed him back into the number one spot and ended a 2+ year drought in ranking events.
O’Sullivan admitted, "I haven't got long. I always said I wanted to go out on a high, which means winning a big tournament. At 8-0 I thought, Is this the time? But it's too early for me to quit now."

As a younger snooker player, Ronnie was volatile now age has seemed to mellow him and he now at least gives the impression that he enjoys the playing experience a little more.
Of this weeks fan support, O’Sullivan said, "People want to watch me playing. Every time I've played this week it's been packed, and I've been blown away because it shows how much fans really want to see me play."

"It's a great honor for me to be able to bring joy to people because of the way I play my sport,: he added and then compared him to some other greats,
"Jimmy White was the same; Arnold Palmer, Tiger Woods - they play with that kind of excitement and make you think 'what's going to happen'."
