Shaun Murphy Knocks Stephen Hendry out of Wembley Masters Snooker
Shaun Murphy faced Stephen Hendry in the Wembley Masters Snooker recently for Hendry’s first round and he was beaten by Murphy 6-4. Hendry is a seven time world champion is disappointing to be knocked out by world ranked number three Murphy.

Hendry was trailing 5-3 during the match on Wednesday when he got two centuries and he fought back to try and catch up. He did get one more score on the board but he missed the green ball which led Murphy to get another frame and he would claim the win.

Hendry commented after the match: “there are no excuses for missing that green. I played ok, but to lose because of that miss is hard to take, because Shaun was getting nervous. It’s frustrating because when I play well, the other guy seems to play well too.”

Murphy commented that any match against Stephen is a ‘major event’ and he was delighted to win the match. Murphy will now go on to the quarterfinals to face the winner of the Ali Carter and Mark Williams match.
