Sport Relief Charity Event
A top Snooker player turned circles today for Sport Relief at the Welsh Open tournament in Newport, South Wales. Mark Shelby, ranked fifth in the world did 113 laps around a snooker table to help raise money for charity at the Sport Relief event.This campaign encourages people to run a mile to raise money for good causes. Mark Shelby, 24 completed his mile by walking around the snooker table 90 times and running the last 23 laps. Shelby is encouraging other famous sports people to also do their bit for charity.
He was quoted at the event saying, "They have got enough time on their side to do things, and if it means them taking a couple of hours out of the day then it’s for a good cause".
