Steve Davis to Help Launch Whalley Club
The Whalley Village Hall in Ribble Valley is staring a new initiative to help young people in the area. The Hall is offering young people ages eleven to eighteen the opportunity to play snooker for free every Friday night until Christmas. Snooker pro Steve Davis is helping the snooker club launch this new initiative.

The Paul Hunter Foundation, North Lancashire Training Group and the Lancashire County Council have teamed together to start the program. The hope is that it will help young people stay off the streets and out of trouble.

Davis spent this past Saturday at the hall playing with the local young people and giving them advice on the game of snooker. Davis stated: “Snooker can be a great way of keeping young people off the streets and getting them to engage with each other.”

Chris Lovell a representative of the North Lancashire Training Group and Paul Hunter Foundation commented that hopefully young people will enjoy the new program and it will continue after Christmas.
