Student Wins School Snooker Title, Now Moving Toward Nationals
Lalit Dahiya entered the Delhi Schools Snooker Tournament and did so well that he won the event and was picked to receive a special training session. Dahiya will be subject to a weeklong special training session with Subhash Agarwai, a national coach, in Mumbai next week.

Dahiya beat Rishit Jain in the finals and had to come from behind to do so. The scores were 37-64, 48-45, 68-30 and 49-48. Dahiya commented after he won: “This is just the kind of just reward that encourages me to play the game.”

Dahiya lost the first frame in a big way and then watch as Jain continued to make pots. It was when Jain missed a black shot that Dahiya was able to come back and tie up the match and take the best of five frame win.

Dahiya ran away with his second win but on the third and final win it was a struggle but he was able to pull out and finish the match with a win. Now he can look forward to his special coaching session.
