Valiant Sports Saves Rileys Snooker Clubs
Several Rileys snooker halls in different areas of the UK were in the process of shutting down when Valiant Sports stepped in and saved the day. The Valiant Sports group has saved 129 out of 159 halls all over the area which would have closed due to the failing of Rileys leisure firm.

The clubs were located in such areas as Wavertree, Birkenhead, Chester and Liverpool and many are glad the company came in and saved the day. Rileys has let go of 200 people and closed thirty sites due to a trade downturn as well as large debts accrued by the Riley Company.

The clubs that remain open will continue to use the Rileys name and the new owners, Valiant Sports, consists of former members of the Riley’s management team. A spokesman for Valiant Sports commented: “Valiant Sports has acquired 129 Rileys Clubs across the UK, and for members at these clubs it is business as usual. Valiant is totally committed to the development of pool and snooker in the UK. “

Except for our virtual Snooker guide and news section there's also a great article about Snooker on Wikipedia. It covers most bases for this popular game including the history of online Snooker and rules.
