World Snooker Announces Wild Cards for Pro Tour 2009/2010
The World Snooker Association has announced the wild card places for the pro tour season of 2009/2010. Ian Preece, Andrew Norman, David Gray and Joe Jogia have earned the wild card places on the tour.

Jogia earned his spot by finishing at the top of the PIOS standings while the other three were the best placed players on the one year ranking list that did not qualify for the tour. Jorgia would normally have been given a spot on the tour due to his finishing status but he was not a member of his national organization which is a requirement for a spot on the tour.

Usually only one wild card spot is awarded by World Snooker but three extra places were available this year because Luca Brecel was too young to take his spot, Glen Wilkinson declined his nomination and the World U21 championships did not take place.
